Alysoun is a regular speaker at literary festivals and writers’ events. She chairs one-day Writers & Artists (W&A) ‘How to Get Published’ conferences for Bloomsbury Publishing and curates courses, such as the W&A ‘Writing Fiction for Children and YA’ (Autumn 2016). Festivals she has spoken at include: Asia House Festival of Asian Literature, Beverley Literature Festival, Chorleywood LitFest, Essex Book Festival, Guildford Book Festival, Hillingdon Literary Festival, Ilkley Literature Festival, Thame Arts & Literature Festival, National Creative Writing Graduate Fair, Oxford Literary Festival, The Winchester Writers’ Conference.

Alysoun also advises on self-publishing (e.g. as keynote speaker at the Self-Publishing Conference, March 2014) and digital publishing (e.g. to a group of visiting Chinese publishing executives, November 2016).
